"But they say those who cannot today, cannot forever."
Follow Agnès here, kupo!
Due to lack of participation and moderator time, we’re going to put away the event for now, maybe bring it back some other time. To make up for it, look for a minigame later today!

"I’m just not cut out for a princess, I’m afraid. Pirating’s much more my style."
A man in a tall, white hat and white mage clothes greets you and introduces himself as Hurdy. He bows, but seems quite concerned.
"Ah, it’s you. You see, I’m the twin of Gurdy. Actually, we’ve never met, but… I’m afraid my brother has done something awful. Those poems- they’re the work of old legends that say worlds were long ago locked away for a very important reason- to keep darkness and evil from spilling in.
"I have strong reason to believe my brother may have opened the doors to these worlds. He may be leaking in that pure chaos and darkness at this very moment…
"Our hopes lie with you, who have been given those small poems as clues. Luckily, this treasure is of old lore, and I believe it will find you. It calls to the needed, and now you will truly need it- it will be necessary for undoing my brother’s mess!”
Who is telling the truth!? Did Gurdy really do something awful and world-shattering? Is he really going to share the treasure? Is Hurdy’s warning worth heeding, despite the fact he’s never met his twin brother? They do bear a striking family resemblance…
Sign ups have ended for the Scavenger Hunt Event, and we want to thank everyone who enrolled!
Gurdy (and his brother, Hurdy) is located at his own blog so that he may send you poems, clues to help you search for the treasure! Each week Gurdy will continue to give you poems, and by the end of the first portion, on 30th of March, if you can guess exactly where it is that Gurdy is hinting at (a game locale), then you will gain an extra 25 gil as a bonus!
To be considered active in it, you must at least begin the roleplay to search for the treasure, and any may freely join. Those who join you will continue to the second portion of the event so long as they are with you, so you won’t be partnerless when we move on to the next section!
If you have any questions, be sure to ask Gurdy, FFU, or the Moogle Workshop! We’ll be happy to help!
This month’s prompt is called Decem, and despite the misleading banner, it actually does have to do with the number ten! The idea is to create ten different ten-word stories to ten separate themes/prompts. Here is the list:
But you don’t necessarily need to fill each prompt with just a ten-word sentence. They can be phrases a character says, or it can be more than one (very short) sentence. They can even be sequels, or maybe a whole story could be written with each one being a ten-word sentence!
"I can’t imagine something cooler, Freya!"
"Relax, Zell, it’ll happen."
Cecil swears revenge as he brings Rosa’s broken body home.
(Contractions count as one word, no problem!)
Each one is worth 7 gil, for a max of 70 gil, and you can pick and choose whichever ones you want to do, if you don’t feel like doing them all! Give it a shot, and tag it with #FFU Prompts so we can read it and tally your earnings for creativity!
"Some day I will be queen, but I will always be myself."
This is just an announcement to remind everyone that signups for the March Scavenger Hunt Event will end in two days on Saturday, 8 March, at about 0:00 (midnight) UTC/GMT!
Because we feel we didn’t give enough information, here are some things that might help!
Please be aware that since it’s a two-part event, the second portion won’t be open to anyone who doesn’t sign up! It’s a little strange, but it’s a special event! Sign up soon if it sounds interesting!
Hope to see you then, kupo!
